In this creative photography class, we will be exploring four themes - connection with nature, connection with self, connection with others, and connection with the Divine - and how they overlap. We will be looking at these themes through the lens of photography, using visual imagery to explore and expand our relationship with each one.
Each morning, you will receive daily photo assignments, prompts, and inspiration to reflect upon as you go through your day. Classes will include structured time for group sharing and photo review, and solo time to work on the daily assignments, to wander and self-reflect through the process of making photographs. This class will not be focused on producing a final result, but on exploration and creative play.
This is an introspective class that is not focused on the technical aspects of photography. Through practice, photo review, and short lessons, we will be learning about how the compositional and visual elements of photography work together to create images that create a shared emotional experience between the photographer and viewer.
All you need for this class is a phone! No prior experience necessary.
