Christian Science is lived at Owatonna and is experienced in the atmosphere of love and support that surrounds you from the moment you arrive at Camp. Everyone learns a great deal from studying the Bible Lesson each morning and attending Sunday School and Wednesday Testimony meeting each week, but Christian Science is most importantly lived and loved by staff and campers – it’s seen in cabin mates who show unconditional love and accept you for who you are, by an activity program that challenges and helps you to grow spiritually, by counselors who support your growing understanding of God, and by healings that are fast and complete. Christian Science is the heart of Camp and is lived by campers and staff alike. Camp is a place where the focus is on growing spiritually and understanding God better all summer long. Campers can turn to their counselors, their friends, or the camp’s Journal-listed Christian Science practitioner for prayerful support for any challenge they face, leading to great growth and a stronger confidence in God’s love and care. And we know that the campers and counselors will take their expanded sense of Love home with them to bless others.
