The past week and a half has been full of adventure for both of our CIT groups this session! Lifeguard training has been in full swing as the CITs prepare to take their test later this week. Along with preparing for their LGT certificates, they’ve been working hard around camp completing service projects, helping the counselors out during meals and directing campfire and Saturday morning clean up. In the midst of all this excitement last week, the Newfound and Owatonna CITs took a break and went to Cathedral Ledge for rock climbing day trips with our professional rock-climber and guide, Ryan Richardson, and our bouldering expert, Dakota Rhea. Along with the character development and pride gained by scaling the face of a mountain, the bonds they’ve created with each other will only continue to grow and last for many years to come. We’re so grateful for our CITs!
