Friday Night Contradance! with Maine-based band, Frigate. Hannah Chamberlain is calling

Frigate is a well known, well loved, Maine based, rockin’ contradance trio with heavy New England, French Canadian, Old Timey and Maritime influences. Steve Muise on fiddle, Glen Loper on mandolin and tenor banjo and Fred White on Guitar. Frigate plays contradances all over Maine and beyond. This band is tailor made to get people dancing!

Frigate has played for weddings, parties, and contradances all over Maine and the east coast for well over a decade.

All three members are instructors at Maine Fiddle Camp in Montville ME. Steve Muise teaches strings in Farmington ME. Glen Loper gives private lessons in mandolin and tenor banjo in Portland, ME. Fred White from Augusta performed for many years as part of the a cappella group Improvox.
