Public Mural-making

AUGUST 21-28

Public Mural-making

Register Now
Morning, Afternoon

How does art reach the masses? You bring it to them! In this class we will be painting a permanent mural on some interior spaces of the Harrison Village Library! We will go through every phase of public mural making—speaking with the client, creating our design, and painting together—with a final product that will live on for years to come. This will be a collaborative project, so we will be bringing our ideas, honing them, and executing the project together. We will all need a willingness to let our ideas transform into something new through the process of working with others.

The painting days will require some hours of working on your feet—and up on a ladder or table, as the ceiling is at 8.5 feet. Painting experience is not required.

The morning and afternoon classes will be designing murals for separate spaces in the library.
