Cabin 1
Tate Norden - This summer I will be spending most of my time down at the beach lifeguarding and teaching swim lessons. I have just completed my junior year at Principia College where I am majoring in Broadcast Journalism. This will be my seventh summer at Owatonna and my second as a counselor. I am looking forward to another seven weeks full of growth, Love, and, of course, fun.

Matt Wilson - Hello! This is my fourth summer at Owatonna and I have the privilege of counseling in the Chief's division again. I have just graduated from Principia College with a major in Theater. I hope to use my understanding of the performing arts in the education field. I live in Toronto, Ontario and am a certified Canadian Waterskiing Instructor. I am very much looking forward to leading by example for the entire Owatonna family.

 

Cabin 3
Nate Bockley - I am from Boston but over the past few years I have been living in many different locations. I was an Americorps volunteer after graduating from Principia Upper School. I then attended Ithaca College for one year before taking time off to work at the Leelanau Outdoor Center. I then transferred to New York University. This will be my thirteenth summer at Owatonna and my fifth year as a counselor. I will be teaching sailing and I am very excited to be back out on the water and to be living in Cabin Three.

Chris Watts - I am very happy to be back at Owatonna for my second summer. I enjoyed working with the Chiefs last year and am looking forward to spending another summer in the oldest division. I live in Redmond, WA and will be a senior at Principia College. There I am majoring in Mass Communication and am captain of the basketball team. Something that most people don't know about me is that I've worked as a professional sports journalist.

 

Cabin 5
Erik Stanley - Howdy from the heart of Texas! This is my first summer at Camp Owatonna and I am excited to be working with your sons in Cabin Five. I am entering my fourth year at the University of Texas where I am studying Communications. I am also a member of the highly ranked Division I Cross Country and Track and Field teams. I love working with children and look forward to supporting this year's campers in their spiritual growth and understanding.

Justin Taylor - I could not be happier to be back for my eighth summer at Camp! I spent the last nine months backpacking and fruit picking in New Zealand - a life-changing experience that broadened my horizons. My guitar is usually never out of reach and I can often be found juggling a soccer ball. This summer I will be helping your sons at the windsurfing beach. I love to laugh and hope to make this camp experience as special and important for these boys as it was for me.

Ron Meyer - I am from Chesterfield, MO and I have just graduated from Principia Upper School. Two of my biggest interests are athletics and politics/current events. In high school I was a member of the football, wrestling, and baseball teams. In the Fall, I will be attending Principia College and will be playing football and baseball. The Christian Science atmosphere is one of the main reasons why I am so excited for my first summer at Owatonna.

 

Cabin 6
Brad Irish - I am very happy to be spending my summer here at camp. This is my third summer at Owatonna, my first on staff, and I am thrilled to be working at the canoe beach. I just graduated from high school in northern Vermont and will be attending Cornell University in the Fall where I intend to earn a degree in Engineering. In addition to canoeing, I love to play soccer and ultimate Frisbee and enjoy competing in the jumping and short sprinting events in Track and Field. It feels great to be back at Camp and I look forward to getting to know all of your sons!

Eric Lines - After spending the Fall studying abroad in Japan and finishing up my junior year at Principia College with a great spring quarter, I'm back at Camp for my second summer. At school I'm a year-round member of the varsity tennis team and a member of my dorm student council. I am pursuing a degree in Business Administration with minors in graphic design and film. This will be my second year as a sailing instructor at Owatonna and I am excited to spend the summer months along the shores of Long Lake.

 

Cabin 8
Jon Nacewicz - After hearing many wonderful stories about Owatonna, I am very excited to be spending my first summer here. I am a sophomore at Principia College and am studying Political Science and Film. Here at camp I will be teaching archery. I cannot wait for the great summer ahead of us and am looking forward to spending time with your sons in Cabin Eight.

Seth Winterroth - This is my first summer at Owatonna. I'm from Mansfield, MA and am entering my senior year at Principia Upper School. I am an avid runner and a member of both Principia's Cross Country and Track teams. I am extremely excited to contribute to an environment that facilitates growth in all aspects of life and develops a deeper understanding of man's relationship with God. I look forward to a harmonious and fulfilling summer here at Owatonna.

Zach Barron - Hello! I have just graduated from Principia Upper School and will be heading off to Reed College in Portland, OR in the Fall. This summer at Camp I will be a climbing instructor and helping the campers push their limits on the rock wall and ropes course. This is my third summer at Owatonna and I am looking forward to a great seven weeks with the Braves in Cabin Eight!

 

Cabin 9
Patrick Harber - It is great to be back here at Owatonna this summer! This will be my third summer at camp and my first on staff. I am a senior at Principia Upper School where I play soccer and run track. I currently live in New Mexico, however, I grew up in Southern California. I look forward to serving camp and playing with your sons.

Skip Mackintosh - This is my third summer on staff at Owatonna and my third working with the Braves! I graduated from Principia College this past Spring with a degree in Mass Communication. Next Fall I am planning to work for a major radio station in St. Louis. During my time in college, I loved playing football and baseball. I also enjoyed being a member of the rugby team. I can't wait to start teaching at the rock wall and ropes course this summer and I am very excited to work with the boys in Cabin Nine.

Pat Nichols - This is my first summer at Owatonna and I couldn't be more excited. I am from Chagrin Falls, OH and am working towards a degree in Business Administration at Principia College. At school I play football and coach the Women's Lacrosse team. In my free time, I enjoy playing guitar and waterskiing. I am very excited to be with the Braves of Cabin Nine.

 

Cabin 10
Chris Burgdorff - I am thrilled to be on staff for my first summer here at Owatonna. I have just graduated from high school and will be a freshman at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA. I love music, singing, the New England Patriots, and ultimate frisbee. I will be working at the boat dock this summer, teaching waterskiing. I look forward to contributing to the fun, challenging, and spiritually inspiring atmosphere here at Owatonna.

Jeremy Robertson - This will be my ninth summer at Owatonna and my first as a counselor. I just graduated from Principia Upper School and am taking the next year off to do some traveling and to live in San Francisco. I look forward to working with your sons in both the rock climbing and woodsman programs. I am excited to have the opportunity to give this summer's campers as rewarding a Camp experience as I've had.

 

Cabin 11
Brian Lord - I am a first year counselor here at Owatonna and will be working down on Long Lake as a wakeboarding and waterskiing instructor. I live in Eustis, FL and am a Business Administration major at Principia College. At school, I spend much of my time skate boarding and playing rugby. I love children, enjoy making them laugh, and look forward to spending time with all the campers.

Jordan Frank - Hello Owatonna parents and friends! This is my second year on staff here at Camp and I can't wait to have another amazing summer. I will be leading the woodsman program this year as well as helping out on the ski boat for second session. This past year has been one filled with fun, traveling, triathlons, and time spent with my family. I am now ready to focus on my studies and will be attending Chico State University in the Fall. Thank you so much for letting me have an unforgettable summer with your sons.

 

Cabin 12
Reeves McLaughlin - I am pumped to be at Owatonna for my first year on staff. I am currently a Business Administration major at Principia College where I am on the Basketball team. I had a great experience on the Japan Abroad last Fall. I look forward to creating a fun summer for your sons as a team sports coach and as a Scouts counselor.

James Suber - I am excited for my second summer on staff. I am from Irvine, CA and have just graduated from high school. In the Fall I will be attending Principia College. This summer I will be down on the beach, lifeguarding and teaching swimming. I enjoy sailing and break dancing, and one of my passions is Harry Potter. This summer I look forward to sharing my enthusiasm for the wizarding world with the Scouts!

 

Cabin 13
Spencer Holland - This is my eleventh summer at Owatonna, my first as a counselor, and I am more excited than ever! In the Fall I wall be a freshman at Bates College, where I plan to earn a degree in Political Science and begin a Christian Science Organization. I look forward to teaching team sports and having an awesome summer in Cabin 13!

Greg Wienecke - I am a senior at Principia College where I spend much of my time in the art studio. I like to jam on my guitar and listen to music. I also enjoy playing tennis and soccer. I am excited for my first summer here at Owatonna and look forward to teaching your sons to swim.

 

 

CIT
Reid Charlston - Hi! I am a graduate of Principia College and currently work as the Athletic Director for the Fox River Country Day School in Chicago. This is my sixth summer on staff at Owatonna, and my ninth year overall. My passions include kayaking and ultimate frisbee and I am looking forward to having a great summer of growth and progress with the CITs.



 

 

 

Trippers
Peter Crow - I am thrilled to be back at Owatonna for my second year as a tripper. I recently graduated from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA and am excited to spend the summer here leading trips before moving on to the world outside of college. I think the outdoors is a wonderful place for us to escape the distractions of daily life and to witness the harmony of God's government. I look forward to sharing the New England wilderness with the campers!

Nate Frederick - Hi everybody! I feel blessed to be back at Camp Owatonna for the fifth consecutive summer! I am a graduate of Hampshire College where I earned degrees in Religion and Music Composition. This past year I worked for an architect and interior designer and then took off on a six-month journey around the world. I visited nine countries and ended the trip with a month-long mountaineering course in the Sikkim province of the Indian Himalayas. This year I'll be joining the tripper staff and sharing my love of the great outdoors with your wonderful kids. There's nowhere I'd rather be than at Camp imparting values and spiritual lessons onto the next generation of Christian Scientists.
