Owatonna Lodge Renovation

The renovation was completed in May 2017. Many thanks to the camp family for their generous donations and support. Please click here to see photos of the construction progress.

Dear Camp Friends,

We want to let you know about a new Capital Project. Our beloved Owatonna Lodge, one of the historic centerpieces of our Camps, needs to be renovated to carry us through the coming years. The foundation needs to be re-set, and we are going to expand and winterize the kitchen as well as rebuild 4 on the Floor. We are winterizing the kitchen should Camp decide to utilize the facilities more during the off-season in the future. We plan to break ground September 2016 to be ready for Summer 2017.

This is the largest capital project Camp has undertaken since the Newfound Dining Room was rebuilt in 2002. The Owatonna Lodge was originally built in the early 1900s and has served the Camp for many decades.

We need everyone to make a contribution, large or small, to help us fund this project – each contribution will help, no matter the size. It is essential to our purpose – to support children’s spiritual growth and understanding of Christian Science – that historic facilities, like the Owatonna Lodge, be maintained to enhance the program and continue our rich legacy.

Please join the Camp Family in supporting this exciting project–and we hope very much that you will visit Camp and see the newly renovated Owatonna Lodge when it is completed.
