Fabienne: Hello, my name is Fabienne Roy and I am overjoyed to be the Camp Newfound Director. I have recently moved to St. Louis from New Jersey, but I feel most at home when I am on the shores of Long Lake. My two daughters, Justine and Juliette, attend The Principia School and are thrilled to embark on their eighth summer at Camp. I took on the role of Director after working the last five for Wyndham Worldwide as an International Marketing Manager, launching a loyalty program into Europe and Asia Pacific. I am most excited to get to know your daughters this summer.

Jordan: Hi there! My name is Jordan Van Niel and I am thrilled to be serving as Head Counselor for Camp Newfound this summer. I am originally from Southern California but have spent the last four years in NYC, so I am very much looking forward to the natural beauty Camp has to offer! I spent my days in NYC managing Anthropologie's 5th Avenue store, playing Frisbee in Central Park, and serving on my church's Lecture and Institutional Committees. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to work with all of your daughters and look forward to watching them laugh and grow all summer!

Kerstyn: My name is Kerstyn Battenberg and I am extremely grateful to be spending my first summer at Newfound as the Program Director! During the rest of the year I live in Newport Beach, CA, and am getting my Master's in Educational Counseling. It is an honor to be working with such amazing young women and to be able to call Maine “home” for two wonderful months. It is going to be an incredible summer!

Lindsay: Hi! My name is Lindsay Sydness and I could not be more excited about this summer! This will be my ninth summer at Newfound, and my second on staff! I am from Wellesley, Massachusetts, and am looking forward to starting my sophomore year at Principia College. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to serve on Senior Staff and to be Social Director this summer. I look forward to witnessing the growth every girl will experience during her time at Newfound. I cannot wait to for the fun-filled weeks to begin!

Jamie: Hey, I'm Jamie Furbush - one of the CIT Heads. I just graduated from Principia College where I studied French and Global Issues. I also participated in varsity soccer and varsity tennis and Prin's improvisational comedy group. I'm from the Washington D.C. area and hope to pursue a career there after this summer. I'm so confident that this summer will be full of growth and fun!

Caroline: Hello, my name is Caroline Savoye and I'm from St. Louis, Missouri. Next year I will be a sophomore at Principia College and will be studying Art History. I can't wait to share this summer with your girls getting to know them better and seeing their growth throughout the CIT program.

Kenzie: Hi! My name is Kenzie Jones and I am so excited to be working with Jamie and Caroline as we plan a wonderful CIT summer! I am originally from Colorado, but just spent my last four years at Principia College and graduated this spring with a major in Chemistry. I spend a lot of my free time playing sand volleyball, soccer, and ultimate Frisbee, but I also enjoy other activities like journaling and listening to music. I love spending my summers at Newfound, and I am looking forward to what is in store for this summer!

Melanie: Hello! My name is Melanie MacWilliams. I am from Fullerton, California and I am so excited to begin my 3rd year at camp. I will be studying architecture in Southern California as a sophomore this year and I am looking forward to a refreshing and fun summer.

Maija: Hi everyone! My name is Maija Baldauf and I am so excited for my 8th summer at Camp. I loved my experience as a first-time counselor last summer and all the opportunities I had to learn and grow. I am from Connecticut but I spend most of the year at Principia College. I will be studying English literature and Mass Communications as a sophomore next year. I am so looking forward to meeting your daughters and sharing a great experience with them. Yay summer 2009!

Hilly: Hi! My name is Hilly Charrington and I am so excited to be back at Camp Newfound serving as a counselor this summer! I am from outside Philadelphia and I am going to be a junior at George Washington University in DC, but I am studying abroad in Rome in the fall. Newfound feels like my second home and I can't wait to experience such a wonderful summer with your daughters!

Cara: Hi! My name is Cara Liuzzi and I am so excited to be at camp this summer! I am from Philadelphia and am heading into my sophomore year at Princeton University where I plan to major in English or Anthropology. In my free time I love to read, write poetry, play sports, and play French horn. This is my 6th summer at Camp and my 2nd as a water-ski counselor. I look forward to camp all year because of the opportunity to express child-like joy and grow in grace. I can't wait to share the summer with your daughter!

Hi! My name is Daisy Alioto and I am extremely excited for my 10th summer at Camp Newfound. I live in Wrentham, Massachusetts, but will be spending the next 4 years in Maine as a student at Bowdoin College where I am hoping to double major in English and Government. In my spare time I like to dance, draw, read, and write and I am always up for a new creative endeavor. Words cannot describe my joy in anticipation of the growth and healing I will witness this summer at camp. Let the games begin!

Amy: Hi! My name is Amy Baldauf and I am so excited to be back at Newfound this summer! I am from Old Greenwich, Connecticut, and am going to be a sophomore at Principia College. I am double majoring in Education and Sociology and will be going to India on a study abroad program in the fall! I am so looking forward to this summer and getting to know all of your wonderful daughters.

Carolyn: Hi! My name is Carolyn Thorsen and I am super excited to be a camp counselor and dance instructor for Camp Newfound this summer! I am originally from Wisconsin, but moved to Florida last summer. I go to Principia College and am majoring in Business Administration. I love swimming, dancing, and gymnastics in my free time. I look forward to meeting all of your daughters and having a great summer with them.

Ana: Hi everyone! My name is Ana Liuzzi and I am so excited to be back at camp this summer! This is my sixth summer and third on staff. I am from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and am going into my sophomore year at Principia College where I am looking forward to running cross country in the fall. This past year was full of travel and adventure as I spent six months in Iceland, first on a study abroad in the fall and then working on a farm in the spring. My work on the farm included helping with the birth of 1,000 lambs, which was a wonderful introduction to this year's theme of shepherding. The atmosphere of unconditional love, healing, and spiritual growth draw me to this beautiful place each summer, and I feel so blessed to be sharing these weeks with your daughters!

Kelly: Hello! My name is Kelly Byquist and I am beyond excited to be at Camp this summer! This will be my 9th summer at Camp Newfound, but my first as a counselor. I am ready and excited to lifeguard on Long Lake as well as teach team sports under the shining Maine sun! I live in St. Louis, Missouri, and I will be returning next fall as a senior at the Principia Upper School. I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity to work with all of your daughters and see them express pure joy and goodness to their highest potential!

Liz: Hello! My name is Liz Binford and I am from the Seattle area. I currently attend Chapman University in Southern California and this summer I am pleased to be teaching sailing! I am very much looking forward to seeing your girls improve on the water this summer as well as in the cabin. This will be my first summer on staff but I am happy to make my campers' experiences just as fun and memorable as mine were when I was a camper here at Newfound!

Eliza: Hi, my name is Eliza Reed. I am so excited to be the Waterfront Head for Camp Newfound this summer. I am from the Chicago area and love driving out here to spend my summer on the shores of Long Lake. Recently, I completed my Masters in Elementary Education. I hope to bring my love of learning and swimming to the H-Dock this summer. This will be my 4th summer at Newfound and I look forward to all the amazing growth and experience that is awaiting your daughters this summer!

Josie: Hi! My name is Josie Charrington and I can't wait to be a counselor at Newfound! I am from outside Philadelphia and this coming fall I will be a freshman at George Washington University in DC. Mallory: Hi everyone! My name is Mallory Lee and I'm so excited to be at Camp this summer! I am from Houston, Texas, so it is nice to be in Maine and out of the heat! I am about to start my sophomore year at Principia College as a Mass Communications major. I am so excited to get to know all of the girls this summer and for the opportunity to grow and of course have fun!

Elspeth: Hello, I'm Elspeth Ochs. I'm from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, but I go to school in upstate New York. I attend Rochester Institute of Technology and I'm starting my second year as a Mechanical Engineer student. I am super excited to be at camp this summer as a counselor. I love kids of all ages and I can't wait to get to know your daughters and help them learn and grow along with me.

Alyssa: Hi, my name is Alyssa Cheatham and I am truly grateful to be here at Camp this year. I am from St. Louis, Missouri, but I was raised in San Diego, California. Right now I am attending Principia College and I will be studying Graphic Design. I am overly excited for Camp this summer and the main reason I am here is to give back as a counselor. I feel like this is going to be an amazing summer and I'm so excited for the campers to arrive.

Lindsey: Hey everyone! My name is Lindsey Gibson and I am from Mesa, Arizona. I am so excited to be here this summer to work with the great staff and all of the wonderful campers. This is my first year at Newfound and the second I arrived I loved the beautiful scenery and all the amenities that camp had to offer. I am currently a junior attending Principia College, where I am studying Mass Communications. I love working with kids and I am truly blessed to be working for such great people. I can't wait to get to know each and every one of your daughters, this will be the best summer yet.

Haillie: Hi! My name is Haillie Stock and I am so excited for another amazing summer at beautiful Newfound! I recently graduated from the American School in Switzerland where I had an amazing year abroad learning and exploring. I will be a freshman at SMU in the fall where I hope to continue growing and experiencing Dallas. This summer will be filled with opportunities to express God, and I can't wait to be a part of the wonderful joy-filled atmosphere that is always so evident at Newfound.

Tavia: Hi! I'm Tavia Patterson and this is my 9th summer at Newfound. As this is my first summer on staff, I'm incredibly excited to be able to contribute to the memories each camper will make while here at camp. I've grown up in Vermont and am currently a student at Principia College studying as a double major in Education and Sociology. I love playing sports, listening to music, and randomly breaking out in dance! I cannot wait for Camp 2009 to officially begin!

Jewelle: Hello! My name is Jewelle Matheny and I am from New Hampshire. I will be a freshman at Principia College, majoring in Global Perspectives. This is my 9th summer at Newfound. I love the outdoors and I am super pumped to be working with the trips program! I am excited to see all of your daughters on trips this summer!

Joy: Hello friends! My name is Joy and I can hardly wait to get the summer started! After 12 summers at camp, this my 4th at Newfound, I finally get to be a tripper here this summer! Jewelle and I are thrilled to bring a new perspective to trips these next seven weeks- we've been working on creating brand new levels to pass while out in the woods! During the rest of the year, I work at Principia College as the Assistant Swim Coach for both the men and women. I love coming back to Camp every year to watch the incredible growth that occurs so naturally in every camper. There's no better place than Camp to defeat limitations and see how much I grow along with your daughters! Wilderness, here we come!
