Good morning Camp Friends and Families! Today is the opening day of our new blog, Long Lake Living! We are very excited to be able to share with you a bit of a peek into our days here at camp. Some of our blog posts will tell you about the regular programming, while others will tell you of special activities; and some will help to explain the photos that have been posted on our website. Welcome to Long Lake Living!
Yesterday at Newfound was Pirate Day! You'll see fun photos of the campers and counselors dressed in their high-seas garb, complete with eye-patches and bandanas. Meanwhile, Owatonna took advantage of the beautiful, sunny day and spent the entire morning at their beach and boat dock: swimming, exploring Cherry Island, waterskiing, kayaking, sailing, and building sandcastles. In the late afternoon, Camp Agawam came to Owatonna for a U16 Ultimate Frisbee competition on Alumni Field. All of the CITs and some of the Chiefs played a spirited, fun game. The day concluded with family dinners at both camps--half of the Owatonna boys headed to Newfound and half the Newfound girls to Owatonna, where they had dinner and Wednesday Evening Testimony Meetings together. It was a harmoninous end to a picture-perfect camp day of Long Lake Living.
